Industrial Maintenance Tech

Position Summary

Parker Rustproof is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment used in our rustproofing, coating, and manufacturing processes. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining safe operations, and ensuring equipment reliability throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, pumps, spray systems, ovens, compressors, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility equipment.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and other building systems as needed.
• Assist with installation, setup, and modification of production equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory.
• Coordinate with production personnel to schedule repairs and minimize disruptions.
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training, trade school certification, or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding is preferred.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
• Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on production and maintenance needs.
