Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The role involves providing care and support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Must have valid drivers license and insurance to transport individuals.
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Foster independence and community integration for individuals with disabilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members to ensure holistic care
Requirements
- Experience in memory care, senior care, or working with people with disabilities is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to assist individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of person-centered care approaches
- Willingness to work in a group home environment
