Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Front of House General Manager to lead our new Wausau location. This is a rare opportunity to be involved before opening day, helping set standards, build the team, and establish the culture from the ground up.
The selected candidate will be hired now and trained at our Stevens Point location prior to the Wausau opening. This hands-on training ensures you are fully prepared to launch and lead a successful opening.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all front-of-house operations for a high-volume, full-service restaurant
Hire, train, coach, and motivate team members
Establish and maintain a positive, accountable work culture
Execute exceptional guest service and food quality standards
Manage scheduling, shift execution, and labor cost controls
Monitor sales, labor, and food costs to achieve financial goals
Handle guest feedback and complaint resolution professionally
Oversee ordering, inventory, and daily operational organization
Be actively present on the floor and lead during peak service periods
Play a key leadership role in the grand opening and ongoing success of the Wausau restaurant
Qualifications
Previous front-of-house restaurant management experience required
Proven leadership and team development skills
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, scheduling, and cost controls
Ability to work the majority of shifts on your feet
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Passion for hospitality and building great teams
Willingness to train in Stevens Point prior to the Wausau opening
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
Five-day work week
