Responsibilities
- Sets up and runs testing requested by external and internal customers.
- Works with maintenance, engineering, and calibration suppliers to maintain, diagnose, and reapair thermal chambers, ovens, fluid circulators and other test equipment.
- Estimates costs including labor hours, test hours, fixture costs, etc. for testing.
- Writes technical reports including test results, procedure and calculations.
- Works with design engineering to build custom test equipment when needed.
- Identifies opportunities for testing improvements through evaluation of current test practices and methods.
- Communicates and coordinates testing activities with divisional team members and deals directly with customers as needed.
- Creates and maintains well-documented test procedure and results files in accordance with design control procedures.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Understands and implements the health, safety, and environmental policies and integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into daily work activities.
- Associates degree or 5 years’ experience in related field.
- A strong mechanical aptitude for significant hands-on work.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
- Effective inter-personal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and Project Management experience with the ability to manage his/her own priorities and workload.
- Ability to routinely lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
