Position Summary

Provides technical and set up support plastic injection molding operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform tool change-overs when jobs are completed.
• Cleans machines prior to production run start-up and at the end of production runs.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots machinery, making the necessary process adjustments to consistently produce parts that meet the company’s quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through LEAN and HPT.
• Answer machine alarms in a timely and effective manner. Maintain logbooks and update set up sheets as required.
• Monitor assigned production area to ensure effective and efficient operations thereby facilitating continuous improvement. Includes, but not limited to:
• Performing machine by machine audits to insure standard operating procedures are being followed.
• Support and reinforcement of plant-wide improvement initiatives.
• Gathering and monitoring and publishing quality control, downtime and production efficiency in an accurate and timely way.
• Ensuring the timely maintenance of production and machine logbooks.
• Troubleshoot quality problems such as splay, flash, heat sinks, short shots.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintaining safety standards.
• Other duties and projects as required.
  

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Status required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• 2-4 years of processing and/or mold set up in the plastic injection molding industry required.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.

Competitive Compensation

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

• Pay Range: $23/hr to $35/hr
• Participation in Annual Incentive Program
