In accordance with Parker’s policies and applicable state laws, Parker provides for a drug-free workplace. Therefore, all applicants seeking employment with Parker will be subject to drug testing as a condition of employment.
- Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment.
- Places daily parts orders.
- Stocks and posts incoming orders.
- Assists maintenance manager in processing weekly stock orders.
- Notifies appropriate parties when special-order parts arrive.
- Assists maintenance manager with inventory.
- Compiles stock control reports such as consumption rate and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
- Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock or determine if part can be rebuilt.
- Assist the maintenance team in keeping accurate inventory and labeling locations to make sure like parts are kept together.
- Interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Travel to external suppliers to retrieve parts.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- HS Degree or GED
- 1-2 years experience in industrial maintenance
- Industrial maintenance certification preferred
- Ability to work independently of others (with limited supervision), as well as with a team to resolve issues.
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
- May be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand at work station for a long period of time
- Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles
- Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions
