Position Summary

This position has responsibility for data analysis, as well as report/dashboard design & development as it relates to the Team’s Data and Analytics Strategy. This position analyzes information and provides recommendations for changes in the data and/or business reporting in support multiple business functions (IT, Sales, Finance, HR, Supply Chain). This position reports to the Aerospace Group IT Manager, Data & Analytics, North America.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data identification, data cleansing, and data preparation for reporting and analytics
• Design and develop dashboards & reports to serve key business objectives and utilizing data visualization and reporting best practices
• Develop documentation to support the data & analytics teams including report design specifications, testing materials, training materials, and project status reporting
• Evaluate data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and stability to establish repeatable and sustainable processes
• Analyze data for patterns and trends, data quality, and data integrity to provide recommendations for certification of data in the data warehouse and data marts
• Troubleshoot complex data problems
• Expand and support a growing analytics community throughout the organization, while supporting efforts to centralize and standardize data.
  
  

Qualifications

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter able to independently complete tasks accurately and quickly
• Proficient query/report writing skills using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tool
• Proficient SQL skills for report query design
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• 3 years’ experience in a data visualization/reporting, data modeling, and analytics role
• 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Power BI (or other advanced reporting & analytics tool)
• Data engineering and modeling skills in SSIS, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, R, Python, or other languages is a plus
• Prior business function experience is a plus (Finance, HR, Operations, Business Operations, Sales & Marketing, Quality)
• Prior experience in SAP ECC, SAP SBO, SAPBW is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in: Computing Sciences, Information System, Business Intelligence, Data Science or related areas required
• Master’s degree in data science, analytics, mathematics or engineering preferred
• Data Management and Analytics certification preferred
