SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment and helps to realize equipment modifications and changes.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prioritize and manage maintenance workflow and tooling needs with the management team
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on selected equipment, updates and maintains Preventative
- Maintenance Program
- Resolves maintenance issues in a timely manner and communicates concerns to the management team
- Identifies problem areas and safety hazards and works with the management and safety teams and
- associates to resolve
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA and Parker xc regulations
- Maintains spare parts inventory and orders tools and supplies
- Exercises good housekeeping in Maintenance department, 5S plus Safety practices
- Performs and trains Lock-out/Tag-out training under direction of Safety Coordinator
- Understands and supports corporate and division Lean Initiatives and Cost Reduction programs
- Participates in and supports problem solving in the moment and on teams
- Fabricates simple solutions when necessary
- Overtime as deemed necessary
- Performs other duties to support the business
Education required:
- High School diploma or GED
- Mechanical and maintenance experience required, with electrical experience a plus
- Good organizational and PC skills, preferred
- Excellent math and measuring skills necessary
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, helpful

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:
- Report directly to Process Engineer
- Communicates and works on teams with production associates and management about needed maintenance with support and supervision from the maintenance manager. Works with contractors and suppliers on a limited basis.
The employee may be subject to:
- High noise levels from operating machines and equipment
- Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels
- Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
- Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
- Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
- Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime
