Position Summary

Move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Open containers
  • Load and unload materials onto or from skids, racks, and shelves by hand. Knowledgeable in the use of all scales.
  • Transport materials from storage or work sites to designated area utilizing lift truck, crane, pushcart, or carrying.
  • Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved. Fill orders in correct containers (follow standard work).
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information as required.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand and clean work area.
  • Operate pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Operate work bar building application on mobile tablet.
  • Rack and un-rack parts from plating hoist line.
  • Must follow written standard work procedures including all safety and 5S procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, complete DR sheets and able to use label systems for our supermarket/customers. Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software, to input all incoming material into inventory.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protection are required.

Pay & Work Schedule

Pay: Starting at $17/hr. plus shift premium

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:45 PM – 10:45 PM)

Team Members must be able to work scheduled mandatory overtime when needed
