To help lead the Corporate Logistics & Transportation Department with implementing transportation strategies, leveraging technology tools, and collaborating across teams to solve complex transportation challenges.

Position will directly report to the manager – North America Logistics & Transportation. This position will have frequent interaction with all levels of Parker employees, suppliers and customers.
Spend: $53 million
Your Role:
- Lead logistics support for assigned groups and divisions, ensuring alignment with Parker’s overall Win Strategy
- Manage transportation activities across multiple modes including truckload, intermodal and ground expedite, overseeing a freight spend exceeding $53M
- Administer the outsourced freight payment program for assigned groups and transportation modes
- Support freight audit, payment, and reporting processes for US freight
- Conduct benchmarking studies using leading industry tools (e.g., DAT) to optimize transportation performance
- Owns the pricing/rate negotiation discussion and final agreements with freight suppliers for modes assigned
Manage and contribute to various logistics projects and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (BA) in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Industry relevant certifications desired (i.e. APICS)
- 1 years logistics/supply chain experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Assertive, strong initiative, highly organized, customer focused
- Collaborative in a matrix oriented environment
