What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Tray Aide position at Parke View Rehabilitation and Care Center?
We are seeking a reliable Dishwasher to ensure our meal service dishes are clean and ready to serve. You will clean and dry all dishes, glasses, and silverware and check that they are stocked properly throughout your shift. While on duty, you must ensure that the dish area is kept clean and that equipment is stored properly. You may also be asked to help with other minor items in the dietary area as needed.
Day Shift Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Evening Shift Hours: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload dishwasher safely and efficiently
- Wash glassware and various kitchen items by hand, when necessary
- Organize and manage the placement of all kitchen items and dishes
- Perform basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately
- Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to management
Dishwasher Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Some experience in a professional kitchen is a plus
- Able to safely operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 20 lbs
- Able to work in a hot, humid environment and stand for 8-hour shifts
