What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator - Arbor position at Park West?
The Estimator for the Arbor company is responsible for gathering all pertinent information to assist in quoting tree care services including tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, tree inventories, and overall job information and logistics
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections to accurately inventory trees on properties and collect data in relation to tree care operations
- Develop GPS maps for trees on properties utilizing an iPhone and the Arbor-Note mapping application
- Responsible for gathering all needed information to accurately price out all services as they relate to tree care
- Prepare detailed scopes of work and proposals outlining required services based on information collected from site inspections and present them to the Sales or Account Manager
- Prepare annual and/or multi-year tree care plans based on individual customer needs and horticultural needs of the trees
- Complete all necessary job information forms, detailing necessary equipment, resources, and other factors that could affect the proposed scope of work
- Develop maps to assist the Operations team with tree locations, access for tree care crews
- Enter data in the Business Solutions Suite (BSS) including proposals, job information, and maps relating to individual properties
- Diligently correspond and communicate with the Director of Estimating, Director of Sales, Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Branch Managers to facilitate sales and operational needs
- Attend weekly operational Staff Meetings as necessary to provide information to the Operations team
- Attend property walks with customers as necessary, professionally representing the Company
- Review requested work orders in the field and provide necessary proposals and/or recommendations to customers
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in arboricultural services or related field
• Familiar with tree identification
• Knowledgeable with the latest GPS mapping technologies in tree management
• ISA Arborist Certification preferred
• Must be able to work in various positions on uneven terrain and surfaces, including but not limited to walking, standing, stooping, bending over, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods of time
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Highly organized and detailed oriented
