Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This position is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about childhood development and eager to contribute to the educational journey of young learners. Hours need are M-F 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment.
- Engage with students to promote learning through play and interactive activities.
- Help develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities.
- Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all children.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual student needs.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student development and address any concerns.
Skills
- Knowledge of preschool education principles, including childhood development theories.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Experience working with students, particularly those with disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, particularly in early childhood education settings.
- Ability to educate young children in foundational subjects such as math through engaging methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
