Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation, portioning, and serving of meals and snacks according to established guidelines.
- Follow individual dietary restrictions, texture modifications, and special meal instructions accurately.
- Set up dining areas, meal trays, and service carts in a clean and organized manner.
- Deliver meals to designated areas and provide courteous support during meal service.
- Collect trays, clean dining spaces, and maintain sanitation standards throughout service times.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed, following proper cleaning procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other team members regarding meal needs and changes.
- Monitor supply levels and report shortages or equipment concerns promptly.
- Support safe food handling practices and comply with all health, safety, and infection control policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to help ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, dietary support, healthcare dining, or hospitality is helpful.
- Ability to follow instructions, dietary guidelines, and sanitation procedures accurately.
