Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Spoton POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience through excellent customer service
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain a clean and organized environment
- Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Spoton POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation, kitchen support, or host/hostess roles is advantageous
