Preschool Director/Lead Teacher

Join our vibrant Christian early childhood education community in a combined role as Director and Lead Teacher for our Pre-K class. This dynamic role combines visionary leadership with hands-on classroom engagement of a class of up to 10 students, ensuring a nurturing, play-based, and innovative environment for preschool-aged children. As a key driver of our school's success, you will spend a portion of your day engaging as teacher and a portion of your day leading the team as Director. Your energetic approach and strategic mindset will create a thriving preschool that champions early childhood education best practices and growth.

Duties

• Lead the development and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate, play-based curricula aligned with early childhood standards
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children
• Supervise and support teaching staff through mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development facilitation
• Oversee school administrative functions including enrollment processes, compliance with educational regulations, and maintaining accurate records
• Manage the preschool’s budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality programming
• Lead strategic planning initiatives to enhance educational offerings, expand community partnerships, and promote school growth
• Ensure adherence to legal requirements related to religiously-exempt licensure and health & safety regulations
• Facilitate effective communication with parents, staff, licensing agencies, and the church community

Skills

• Extensive experience in early childhood education with classroom teaching background in preschool settings
• Proven leadership skills in managing school staff and supervising teams within an educational environment
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored to play-based, early childhood education best practices
• Expertise in managing budgets as an education administrator along with strategic planning capabilities
• Familiarity with educational compliance standards for licensure
• Skilled in personnel management including staff evaluation and professional development facilitation
• Excellent public speaking abilities to engage parents, staff, and community partners effectively
• Experience in fundraising activities to support school initiatives and growth strategies
• Knowledge of school administrative operations including enrollment management and regulatory adherence
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and educational excellence

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
