Job Description:
At PSCMH, we specialize in providing compassionate palliative care, under the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver. Our mission is to offer relief from the symptoms and stress associated with a chronic, medical, physical, or developmental condition or life-threatening illness. As a Massage Therapy Provider, you will play a key role in improving the quality of life for our patients and their families through therapeutic massage.
Responsibilities:
- To improve muscle tone, circulation, range of motion, and address physical symptoms related to the child/youth's chronic medical, physical, or developmental condition or life -threatening illness.
- Collaborate with the child or youth's healthcare team to provide support and integrate massage therapy into their care plan.
- Providing goal-oriented care to clients as developed in the treatment plan process.
- Timely documentation of services.
- Adhering to compliance expectations of PSCMH's Children's HCBS program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Massage therapist currently licensed by the State of New York.
- A minimum of three years working with the medically fragile population.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience with the pediatric population, preferably involving end of life care.
