Position: Estimator – Doors, Frames & HardwareAs an Estimator at Park Roway, you’ll be a key player in our preconstruction efforts—reviewing plans, analyzing specs, and preparing detailed takeoffs and cost estimates. You'll collaborate with both internal teams and general contractors to deliver competitive and accurate proposals that meet project demands.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze architectural drawings, specs, and addenda for door, frame, and hardware scope
- Collaborate with general contractors through hard bids and negotiated projects
- Calculate accurate labor and material costs based on project requirements
- Organize estimating strategy and identify typical hardware sets
- Enter all data into Comsense (or equivalent software) and review for accuracy
- Perform full takeoffs and costing for door and hardware packages
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and internal sales for project alignment
- Monitor and compare estimated vs. actual costs to improve future bid performance
- Prioritize multiple projects with tight deadlines
Qualifications- 3–5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction or building materials
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Comsense is a plus
- Knowledge of UL fire ratings, ADA, life safety, and commercial building codes
- Excellent communicator with a team-first attitude
- Organized, deadline-driven, and motivated to grow
