Parkriver Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Therapist (Speech-Language Pathologist) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. In this role, you will help residents regain communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities while improving their overall quality of life in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents’ communication and swallowing needs.
- Provide therapy services and monitor progress while adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other care team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Educate residents and family members on therapy techniques and strategies for continued progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and facility standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Pay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour
