Job Summary
Park Regency Management is seeking a proactive and versatile Property Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and appearance of our multifamily, commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to create a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained environment for resident and tenants. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect vacated apartments and completes checklists regarding making the apartment “rent ready”.
- Perform duties to restore apartments to “rent ready” status. Restoration may include basic electrical repair, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, wall patching, appliance repair, and flooring repair.
- Keep grounds clean at all times, including grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping.
- Complete assigned work orders. This may include tenant service requests for repairs in occupied units, common area repairs or project work to be completed.
- Maintain plumbing systems by troubleshooting leaks, clogs, and performing repairs or replacements of pipes and fixtures.
- Assist in the completion of special projects, including, but not limited to, renovations, window and door repair and replacement, and siding replacement.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts replaced for future reference.
- Support leadership in managing maintenance schedules and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Required to be on call periodically and work hours may flex depending on business demands.
Skills
- Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques for residential or commercial properties.
- Experience with HVAC systems repair and routine servicing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and machinery safely.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Ability to maintain and repair common household appliances.
- Carpentry experience to perform tasks including repairs to walls, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and tenants alike.
- Leadership qualities to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team setting when necessary.
- Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with tenants, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- A willingness to learn on the job.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Professional conduct and good interpersonal skills
- Willing to work 40 hours per week (M-F, 8am-4pm) and be on call for emergencies
- Ability to routinely lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Past maintenance experience preferred
