Responsibilities
- Design beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, incorporating current trends and customer preferences.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, gardening supplies, and related products by providing knowledgeable recommendations.
- Maintain the floral display area and store shelves through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about plant identification, horticulture tips, and floral care.
- Support store operations by managing inventory levels, organizing stock rooms, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
- Engage with customers in multiple languages if applicable to enhance communication and inclusivity.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floral design or gardening is highly preferred; familiarity with landscape maintenance or lawn care is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers.
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, and floral design techniques.
- Experience with retail sales processes including cashiering, merchandising, stocking, and POS systems.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and arranging flowers or plants safely.
