National Honor Society Advisor

The Park Rapids High School Activites and Fine Arts Deparement is seekiing a National Honor Society Advisor for the 2026-2027 school year. The National Honor Society Advisor at Park Rapids High School plays a vital role in fostering academic excellence, leadership, service, and character among students. This seasonal position involves guiding and mentoring members of the National Honor Society, organizing activities, and promoting the values of the organization within the school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student development and committed to creating a positive environment for all members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the selection process for new National Honor Society members, ensuring adherence to established criteria and guidelines.
• Organize and facilitate regular meetings for members to discuss goals, activities, and community service projects.
• Plan and coordinate events that promote leadership, service, and academic achievement, including community service initiatives and fundraisers.
• Collaborate with school administration and faculty to support the mission of the National Honor Society and enhance student engagement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to members, fostering their personal and academic growth.
• Maintain records of member participation and service hours, ensuring compliance with National Honor Society standards.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty to promote National Honor Society activities and achievements.
• Encourage a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence within the organization and the broader school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with high school students, preferably in an advisory or mentoring role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Knowledge of the National Honor Society’s values and principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and parents.
• Availability to work during the school year, with flexibility for meetings and events outside of regular school hours.
