Seeking Valet Supervisor for the Marcus Autism Center!
Summary: Park vehicles and issue tickets for guests in a parking lot or garage
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, assign parking space, and issue tags
- Retrieve tags, locate vehicles, and deliver vehicles from parking lot or storage garage
- Provide guest with information such as directions or wheelchair assistance, or instructions to locate their vehicles as needed
- Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking area as required
- Calculate parking fees to collect payment
- Perform cash handling tasks such as making change, balancing, and recording cash in drawer, or distributing tips
- Respond to guest complaints
- Keep parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space availability and use
- Inspect all vehicles for damage
- Monitor parking area to prevent vehicle damage or property theft
- Ensure guests are safe and escort guest to vehicle as needed
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with guest issues such as a flat tire, dead battery, etc.
- Complete other duties as assigned
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably within a customer service or property management environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing schedules, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance of a small team.
- Experience handling tenant or customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
- Proven ability to enforce company policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Experience with basic administrative tasks such as record keeping, reporting, and data entry.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with property management software is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Understanding of basic property management principles and practices preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
