Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management system
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing proper phone etiquette and clear communication
- Maintain organized guest lists, waitlists, and reservation logs to ensure smooth flow of service
- Assist with guest inquiries, provide accurate wait times, and offer exceptional guest relations
- Support food service staff by communicating guest needs and special requests promptly and accurately
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating counts, and guest management
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
