Responsibilities:
The Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the licensed portion of the Solvere Managed Campus to include financial management; business planning; development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of program services; management of staff; and delivery of high-quality services to Residents and their families. The Administrator, in addition to being responsible for the operations of the licensed portion of the community, is required to proactively communicate with their direct supervisor any situation that might pose a threat to the licensed buildings on campus in any way.
Management/Financial:
- Maintains ongoing compliance with appropriate local, state, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards.
- Ensures that the Community is prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through regular auditing and updating of Community policies and procedures, medical records documentation, monitoring of environmental standards, etc.
- Collaborates with General Manager on monthly financial reports and provides explanation for variances.
- Oversees Wellness budget and provides guidance to direct reports on how to meet budgetary guidelines.
- Oversees and supervises Wellness Director and all team members serving licensed portion of campus
- Optimizes all opportunities to generate revenue and ancillary revenue.
- Ensures timely in-services and trainings are conducted for team members, and monitors use of Relias for compliance
- Promotes team building through participation and/or leadership at regular staff meetings.
- Assists in recruitment of staff.
Resident Care:
- Assures high-quality services as needed and desired by Residents and that resident rights are protected
- Ensures staff, Residents, and families are educated about Resident rights.
- Works with Wellness Director in coordination of move-in process to ensure leases and Resident Service Plans are coordinated and properly carried out.
- Responds to family, resident, and team member requests in a timely manner.
- Acts as liaison between management, Residents, and families.
- Ensures that the licensed buildings of the Campus make a positive first impression.
- Works collaboratively with direct reports to emphasize the team’s role in sales and participation in the Community Marketing Action Plan and Sales Action Plan.
- Participates in Manager on Duty for weekend coverage as scheduled.
- Enforces OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
- Ensures full compliance with all laws and regulations related to the operation of an assisted living facility.
- Follows all emergency procedures.
- Understands the safety policies and procedures.
- Investigates and reviews all on-site injuries.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- State required licensing.
- Excellent customer service and public relations skills
- Experience working with seniors.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Meets all current requirements of the State and Regulations for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities, and any amendment thereto, as required.
- Must have demonstrated integrity, and leadership skills.
- Possesses a sincere passion for working with our senior population.
- Promotes the Community in a positive manner and effectively communicates the Community’s values to Residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Physically able to bend and reach.
- Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Spends at least 30% of time on travel to referral sources in market area.
- Required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
- May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents’ apartments.
- May have picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
- Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B & C viruses.
- May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset Residents due to their mental status.
- Background, criminal, and drug test as required.
- Must be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
