What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Orthotist position at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital?
TRIA is looking to hire an Certified Orthotist to join our O&P team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Park Nicollet's Orthotics & Prosthetics department supports the Meadowbrook, TRIA Bloomington, and TRIA Maple Grove locations to Physician groups, to support the DME needs of patients by providing products used at home to help facilitate the successful management of any number of orthotic and prosthetic issues.
The incumbent must ensure proficient, quality clinical outcomes for all clinic patients, and is responsible for competency in the following tasks or skills.
Work Schedule:
M-F work schedule, will need to participate in a call rotation to support Methodist hospital inpatient O &P needs. This would include a holiday and weekday and weekend call rotation.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Bachelor's Degree
Diverse experience level from Pediatrics to Geriatrics.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Current Minnesota Orthotist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Tracer Cad trained.
Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.
