What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse-Anticoagulation Clinical position at Park Nicollet Clinics?
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Adhere to nursing standards of conduct, performance, and ethics. Provide and manage direct nursing care to patients with a specific disease or health condition requiring Anticoagulant medication(s). Autonomously, and in collaboration with managing clinicians, apply nursing judgment and standing orders to provide assessment, education, planning, and implementation of ambulatory anticoagulation care within the scope of Registered Nurse practice including delegation and supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff. Act as a resource for other staff.
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
- 40 hours per week/1.0 FTE
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Science – Nursing (BSN) required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing will be considered if currently enrolled in and/or willing to obtain Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree within 3 years of hire.
- Current Minnesota RN license
- Wisconsin RN license within 2 months of hire
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum of two years recent nursing experience in adult ambulatory care or one year of recent experience in an acute care setting or associated specialty: Anticoagulation/Thrombosis Care, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Anticoagulation Therapy Management course completion preferred.
- Experience with identifying problems and physical and psychosocial assessment of patients receiving anticoagulation therapy.
