Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination, including vitals and medical history documentation
- Assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer injections and perform EKGs
- Perform blood draws and specimen preparation as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support efficient patient flow and provider schedule adherence
- Assist with patient questions and follow-up instructions
- Complete prior authorizations and clerical tasks as needed
- Maintain professional, organized clinical workspace
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
