Job Summary
As a Drafter at Park Manufacturing you will be responsible for analyzing, designing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure smooth efficient and safe operations. Preparing technical drawings used by production on prints, harness boards, mylars and inspection documentation. Modifying and revising designs to correct operation deficiencies and/or to reduce issues in production. Will be responsible for recommending updates to Park’s standard operating procedures.
Duties
- · Creates detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software (AutoCAD, Adobe, Tagprint and excel or similar) based on project specifications
· Possesses the ability to read customer blue prints and examine electronic schematics and supporting documents to develop, compute and verify specifications for drafting data, such as configuration of parts, dimensions and tolerances
· Collaborates closely with engineers and Quality Manager to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
· Utilizes ERP system to add or modify instructions and bills of material to customers satisfaction
· Updates and revise drawings as project requirements evolve, ensuring all documentation is current and compliant with industry standards
· Blueprint and work instruction generation and revision
· Confers with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compiles require changes to production documents
· Enters label formats into Tagprint for production employees
· Maintains organized drawing files and ensure version control for all project documentation
· Creates electrical plans, schematics and wire diagrams
· Develops drawing packages for constructing products and bill of material for procurement specifications
· Performs prototype assembly tasks, investigating manufacturing or QA problems as requested
· Identifies opportunities for improvements in quality, cost and/or efficiency of automation equipment
· Has knowledge and a full understanding of Park Manufacturing’s Quality Policy
Experience
Sufficient Process Engineering education or equivalent engineering experience. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferable in the field of electrical harness assembly, cable assembly and/or electrical/mechanical assembly. Internal candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of harnessing experience or 2 years of service at Park Manufacturing. Intermediate level MS Office software programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Auto-Cad.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
