Parking Lot Attendant - Brooklyn NY

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Position Type:  Part-Time
Hours:  Monday 7:30am - 3:30pm; Thursday 7:30am - 3:30pm; Sunday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Other assigned shifts, as needed:  Friday 11:00am - 7:00pm and Saturday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Job Summary:

Park Inc. is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parking Lot Attendant to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the parking facility, ensuring smooth traffic flow, maintaining security, and delivering excellent customer service. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service & Assistance

  • Greet arriving and departing guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Assist customers with parking, directions, and use of automated ticketing and payment machines.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Security & Facility Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain the security of vehicles and customer financial information.
  • Regularly inspect all security cameras, windows, doors, and locks within the garage.
  • Ensure the garage remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.  May include trash pickup, power washing, painting, snow removal, light replacement, or any other action requested or needed by the garage manager.

• Operations & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient parking environment.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  • Uphold high personal standards and encourage a culture of teamwork and accountability.

• Additional Duties:

  • Assist in enforcing parking regulations and directing vehicle flow during peak hours.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support garage operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Customer Service Skills: Friendly, professional, and able to handle guest concerns effectively.
• Communication Skills: Clear and courteous when interacting with guests and team members.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, kneel, or climb if needed.
• Work Environment: Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.).
• Team Player: Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional Appearance: Must be neatly groomed and presentable.
• Reliability: Punctuality and a stable work history are essential.
