Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join the team at our successful clinic. You will primarily diagnose and treat dogs and cats; however, we also provide care for smaller furry animals. Daily responsibilities will include performing surgeries, treating wounds, prescribing medications, and spaying/neutering. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. (Additionally, relief doctors tell us we are one of the best staffed practices they've worked in.)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform small animal dental, spay and neuter procedures
- Administer vaccinations.
- Administer vaccinations
- Prescribe medication
- Collaborate with mobile surgical and internal medicine specialists
- Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being
- Update client records
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Previous work experience as a veterinarian. We also will consider new graduates and grow your hands-on skills with mentorship support.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms
- Problem-solving skills
- USDA accreditation for interstate and international health certificates
- Patience and a love for animals
Compensation: $132,000.00 - $164,000.00 per year
