ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
Position: Elementary At-Risk Para-Educator - Southside Elementary School
Duties: Provide instructional assistance/support for students in assigned classroom(s) as directed by the teacher(s) and building principal
Responsibilities include following daily plans from supervising teacher(s), making classroom preparations, assisting students as directed, and performing other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications: Two (2) years of college (48 hours) or Associate's Degree (or higher) preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students and staff and follow instructions provided by the teacher and supervisor, team oriented, ability to work in dynamic, diverse settings and a willingness to adapt to specific or new working situations
Prior experience with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred
Salary: District Support Services Wage Schedule (2025-26 Base = $16.65/hour, para's holding BA in education, base = $17.65/hour)
This is a non-benefit eligible position
Employment Term: 22.5 hours per week during the school year - working student 175 days
Beginning Date: January 6, 2026
