Two's Preschool Teacher – PC Tots (Non-Profit Child Development Center)
PC Tots, a quality non-profit child development center subsidized for working families in Park City, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Two’s Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves guiding preschool-aged children in their early development, ensuring their safety, and promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. As a Preschool Teacher at PC Tots, you will work collaboratively with parents and staff to create an enriching learning experience that prepares children for future academic success.
Qualifications:
- Experience and a strong interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers.
- Proven success working as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering positive learning experiences for children.
- Ability to demonstrate promptness and self-regulation in managing classroom activities and responsibilities.
- Bilingual candidates are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and Creative Curriculum.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language acquisition, and cognitive abilities.
- Build positive relationships with each child and promote self-esteem, self-regulation, and self-discipline.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns that may arise.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Organize activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth through play-based learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Demonstrate promptness and self-regulation by managing classroom time effectively and maintaining a calm and organized environment.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the classroom and team.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in child welfare and toddler care.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Ability to educate young children effectively while maintaining a fun learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues.
