What are the responsibilities and job description for the ICE HOCKEY INSTRUCTOR- Variable Hours position at Park City Municipal Corporation?
RATE OF PAY $16.50-$23.50 PER HOUR (D.O.E.)
JOB SUMMARY:
Must be 14 years of age or older
Park City Ice Arena is looking for individuals to instruct and assist with the Hockey Academys Basic Hockey Skating and Learn to Play Hockey classes. The ideal candidate has been involved with hockey, whether as a past/current player or a coach and enjoys teaching/instructing children of all ages and ability levels.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for planning and executing Hockey Academy classes, clinics, and camps.
- Responsible for program set up and takedown.
- Responsible for the evaluation of skaters.
- Responsible for communicating with students parents and being available before and/or after each class.
- Promotes programing at the facility.
- Participates in applicable staff meetings.
- Teaches group and private lessons as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience teaching children and adults.
- Must maintain current membership with USA Hockey.
- Have a Level 1 certification, or ability to attain within 9 months.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Candidates must be available to teach at least two hours of classes per week.
Salary : $17 - $24
