Join our Incredible Lending Specialist Team!


The primary focus of this position is to quickly and actively take and work loan requests

from application to closing. Perform a high volume of outbound loan campaign calls

while driving revenue through offering products and services that meet member’s

needs. The employee will take and work loan applications that come through the

phone, online channels, and other credit union employees. Will be held accountable

for achieving individual and team production, cross-sale, and ancillary lending

product sales goals. 


Must work well in a team environment, but be motivated and self-disciplined

to work independently. Execute the credit union’s vision and provide

Raving Fan service with every member interaction.


Previous/current lending experience at PCCU or other financial required.

Requirements

Lending Specialist can work out of the Merrill, Minocqua or Rhinelander locations.


1. Drive revenue by achieving loan goals and looking for additional

opportunities with members that support the credit union’s strategic goals

and objectives, including presenting loan solicitations as recommended

from underwriting and through examination of the member’s credit

report.

2. Ensure loan applications are processed quickly and accurately within the

standards laid out by the Chief Retail Officer.

3. Perform a high volume of outbound calls to existing credit union members

and members who have recently obtained a loan through an indirect partner. With the expectation to grow relationships and increase the

number of PFI (primary financial institution) relationships the credit union

has and obtain more of the member’s loan accounts.

4. Meet assigned goals for member protection products, including but not limited

to GAP, warranty, and debt protection.

5. Ability to act as a trusted advisor and provide recommendations for future

lending approvals, while delivering a loan turn-down decision to a member.

6. Document all sales activities in the credit union’s core system.

7. Possess effective communication and strong listening skills.

8. Ability to foster relationships and influence sales decisions.

9. Demonstrate exceptional raving fan member service, that projects the credit

union’s vision.

10. Serve membership by providing service and information in a pleasant,

professional, and efficient manner via telephone or correspondence.

11. Achieve department goals while meeting standards for quality.

12. Complete and maintain necessary reports and records pertaining to the

Bank Secrecy Act. Complete Currency Transaction Reports and report

suspicious activity when applicable.

13. Treat all credit union members and employees with a positive and

cooperative attitude.

14. Additional duties may be assigned by the Branch Manager.
