Now Hiring Activity Aide, Part-Time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Park Avenue Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team part-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging daily experiences for residents.
Schedule
- Part-Time
- Second Shift
- Every other weekend
Responsibilities of Activity Aide:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events
- Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events
- Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events
- Escort and support residents as needed during activities
- Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized
- Document resident participation when required
- Promote a positive, friendly, and resident-centered environment
Qualifications for Activity Aide:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or activities role is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in group and one-on-one settings
