This is manual labor in the performance of semiskilled and skilled work of a physically demanding nature in the Department of Utilities at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists in making repairs to pumps, valves, tractors, mowers, weed eaters and other equipment associated with the wastewater treatment plant. Drives, operates and maintains tractors, mowers, forklifts and backhoes. The maintenance II performs building maintenance; preventative maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, and various equipment and infrastructures; janitorial duties; and other duties as assigned. Maintains and updates various written logs. Maintains inventory of supplies used in order to ensure an adequate supply is available. The work schedule is assigned by the WWTP Superintendent, and subject to rotating shifts. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of high school or GED. Must have a valid driver's license and an appropriate driving record. Must be able to perform all essential job junctions.
