How you’ll contribute
Ensures that all necessary demographic, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.Codes injury severity for all traumatic injuries using doctor/nurses notes and other medical record reports.
Assigns appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes.
Maintains trauma database, updates database, manages changes and corrections to database.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
What we’re looking for
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is helpful.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional education required after hire.
Experience: Minimum 1 year clerical/ data entry
Schedule: 5x8, Day shift (8a-5p), M-F
