Role Description
This full-time, on-site role is located in Paris, KY, and is dedicated to providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities. The Special Education Teacher will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs, and collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff to promote student growth. The teacher will also manage classroom behavior, assess student progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Special Education, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Experience teaching at the middle school level, with a focus on creating engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support teams
- Certification in Special Education and/or relevant licensure in the state of Kentucky
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
