Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time, dayshift only, with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases.
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Process transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Maintain knowledge of sales promotions and product offerings to effectively upsell items.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed.
- Cleaning, restrooms included.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs /-
- Must be able to stock products, put away deliveries.
- Must be able to stock coolers properly and according to planograms.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in cash register operation and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling.
- Experience with retail math to assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Sales experience with a focus on upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction.
