Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register transactions, process payments, give change, and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling stations in adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items when needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques and coffee experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions are essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Experience with retail sales transactions using POS systems like Aloha or Micros enhances your fit for this role
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
