Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Square POS, and OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments efficiently
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a memorable experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods smoothly
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
