POSITION: Senior Accountant

LOCATION: Newnan, GA

About the Role

Support the preparation of financial statements and variance reports on a timely basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting, ability to work cross functionally, and communicate at a high level with business and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of financial statements and variance reports on a timely basis.
• Work alongside the Controller to coordinate U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting to ensure the timely, accurate completion of financial reports for all required filings.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to management.
• Stay abreast of financial reporting and regulatory developments which can impact the company and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Perform advanced problem solving and complex variance analysis.
• Assist with the coordination of the annual budget process.
• Organize and manage projects to completion.
• Establish, modify, document, and implement reporting processes and control procedures.
• Help drive a performance-based culture and function as a business partner to the executive team, operational leaders, and other key stakeholders.
• Manage staff and senior accountant within the function including completion of assigned duties and reporting responsibilities, coaching, objective setting, feedback, appraisals and development planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

Required Skills

• Solid foundation in accounting.
• Ability to work cross functionally.
• Ability to communicate at a high level with business and executive leaders.
• Experience with analyzing large data (1000 rows) sets in Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of US-GAAP.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to IFRS.
• Previous experience gained in the manufacturing industry.
