Residential Assistant
Parents' Foundation for Transitional Living, Inc. is a private, nonprofit mental health residential community dedicated to supporting adults with mental illness such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety disorder. We are looking to add members to our team in the role of Resident Assistant. This is a per-diem position - no set hours/schedule is currently available. Responsibilities include:
- Documenting detailed observations and interventions of residents
- Maintaining the safety and security of the residents and building
- Meal support
- Engaging with residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Light cleaning
- Facilitating or Co-Facilitating resident groups and activities
- Medication Monitoring (Med Certification NOT required)
Shift Availability includes:
Overnight* 11:00pm-7:45am
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of hands on mental health experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work per diem (as needed)
- Willing to receive a COVID-19 test when needed and willing to wear a mask when needed
- Must have reliable transportation for ALL shifts
- Must be comfortable working overnight shifts - awake position
- Ability to work some weekends is a must
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid
- Can communicate effectively orally and written
