Role Description The Executive Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Parenting Time Center in Evansville, IN. This role is responsible for overall organizational management, including strategic planning, program development, and implementation of services such as supervised visitations, safe exchanges, and parenting classes. The Executive Director oversees daily operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and safety standards. This position manages community relationships, engages with partner agencies and stakeholders, and represents the organization in public and professional settings. The Executive Director also leads fundraising efforts, grant writing, and reporting, while fostering a positive, trauma-informed, family-centered environment for staff and clients.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit, social services, or related fields, with the ability to manage staff, programs, and budgets effectively.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including strategic planning, financial oversight, and policy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with families, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with children and families, preferably in supervised visitation, family services, mental health, or related environments.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, family dynamics, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience with grant writing, fundraising, and community outreach, including collaboration with courts and local agencies.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and data management tools; ability to interpret program metrics and produce reports.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices, and to providing a safe, respectful environment for all families.
