What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Afterschool Teacher (2:00-6:00PM M-F) position at Parent Infant Center?
We are seeking energetic, qualified candidates for an Afternoon Teacher position in our Afterschool Program.
The Afternoon Teacher is responsible for contributing to an inviting, stimulating, and safe learning environment. The teacher’s duties include supporting a curriculum that is based in a solid understanding of child development, PIC’s philosophy, and the state and national learning standards.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for family communication, as well as for building a collaborative relationship with your teaching team. The teacher is a vital part of the PIC community, and there are duties beyond the classroom, including professional development and community events.
This is a part-time position, Monday- Friday, 2-6 pm. Preference is given to candidates with: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field, and 2 years experience. Experience in PreK-4th grade also preferred.
