Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead the recruitment process through campus outreach, social media management, and community events to attract passionate volunteers.
• Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to prepare volunteers for their roles in hospice care.
• Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and ongoing supervision to ensure seamless integration into patient care teams.
• Utilize customer relationship management systems to track volunteer engagement, coordinate communication, and report on program metrics.
• Foster strong relationships with volunteers through regular communication, recognition initiatives, and support to enhance retention and satisfaction.
• Oversee social work collaborations and coordinate volunteer activities aligned with patient needs and organizational goals.
• Lead public speaking engagements to promote hospice services and volunteer opportunities within the community.

Requirements

• Proven experience in volunteer management or social work with a passion for end-of-life care.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare or community setting.
• Strong proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools.
• Excellent public speaking abilities to engage diverse audiences effectively.
• Experience in campus recruitment, training & development programs, and social media outreach strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
