Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We’re seeking a Desk Adjuster to be responsible for managing residential property claims from initial assignment through resolution. You will also be reviewing inspection reports, photographs, estimates, and other documentation submitted by field adjusters to determine coverage, assess damage, and settle claims in accordance with policy provisions and Florida regulations.
This role will require strong analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance efficiency with fairness while providing an excellent customer service experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a caseload of residential property claims from first notice of loss through settlement.
- Review field inspection reports, estimates, photos, and supporting documentation to verify scope and accuracy.
- Analyze coverage and prepare clear, well-supported coverage determination letters.
- Coordinate with Field Adjusters to reconcile discrepancies or request additional documentation as needed.
- Issue payments, request supplements, and process claim file updates in accordance with company policies and Florida statutes.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with policyholders, public adjusters, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Document all claim activity thoroughly and accurately in the claim management system.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify subrogation or potential fraud indicators and refer to appropriate units when applicable.
- Support process improvements and participate in departmental training and calibration sessions.
What You’ll Bring
- Florida 5-20 or 6-20 Adjuster License (required).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience of residential property adjusting experience, preferably inside claims environment.
- Proficient in Xactimate and claim management systems.
- Strong understanding of property insurance coverages, estimating, and repair methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality.
