Zund Machine Operator
Paramount Printing – Dalton, GA
Shifts:
Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm
Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am
Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm
*must be available to train on 1st shift*
Paramount Printing is seeking a skilled Zund Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in operating digital die-cutting equipment and a commitment to quality and precision. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth production, from setup to final output, using state-of-the-art Zund machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Zund digital die-cutting equipment to meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Set up and adjust machines for various production jobs
- Perform quality checks during production to maintain consistency
- Conduct routine maintenance and replace blades, bits, and modules as needed
- Follow posted Zund schedules to meet production deadlines
- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime
- Manage materials and inventory, reporting shortages to management
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials
- Accurately report production quantities and maintain job records
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support safety goals and adhere to all safety protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills (email, mouse, keyboard, navigating menus)
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to become certified to operate a forklift and use pallet jacks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Willingness to learn database systems (e.g., ERP)
- Effective communication skills—written and verbal
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
