Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maker to join our growing, 100% employee-owned team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision molds used in thermoforming and other plastics processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality, durable molds that meet strict specifications and quality standards. As a valued member of our employee-owned company, you will play a key role in supporting Paramount by delivering reliable, precise molds that enable the production of innovative products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing directly to the success of both our team and our clients.
Duties
- Cut or build patterns
- Build vac box
- Make Splash
- Make Molds
- Build Fixtures and Bucks
- Initiate action to prevent problems
- Record and documentation as required
- Make changes to patterns as needed
- Repair molds or tooling as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
- Production and Processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and working by hand or with hand and power tools.
- Working at a variety of tasks that require creativity and precision.
- Basic mathematics and computer skills, ability to use and operate a tablet.
- Must have the ability to communicate and understand instructions
- Must have the ability to be trained to use equipment and tools
- Must be physically capable of performing the job, ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Manufacturing experience a plus
